linux kvm storage

The directory /var/lib/libvirt/images usually is for the kvm storage, but its capability is  a limitation and cannot meet the requirement of vms.

There are two ways to fix the disk capability problem. One is increase the capability of the directory /var ,before installation or adjusting it after installation.

The other way is redirect the kvm storage destination to the other directory which owns much disk capability. Here the example is.

[daimon@localhost /]$ mkdir /home/daimon/kvm
[daimon@localhost /]$ su root
[root@localhost /]# semanage fcontext -a -t virt_image_t ‘/home/daimon/kvm(/.*)?’
[root@localhost /]# restorecon /home/daimon/kvm
[root@localhost /]# rmdir /var/lib/libvirt/images
[root@localhost /]# ln -s /home/daimon/kvm /var/lib/libvirt/images
